My sleep-easy beauty routine

When it comes to my before bed routine, I have a little ritual that always make it easier to switch off. I often wake up with a tight jaw from clenching during the night so I’m trying some remedies to relax and calm down my sleeping mind.

Whether I’m stressed or just needing a little relaxation before bed, I’ve found a few products to help that shut eye come a little easier.

STEP 1: THE DESTRESS AROMATHERAPY OIL

Tisserand De-Stress Aromatherapy Rollerball was an impulse buy from John Bell and Croydon and it’s been a hit. I use it on my temples, wrists and even around my jaw and I can feel how it instantly calms me down. A few inhales of the scent and I promise you, you can notice a slower pace to your thoughts. It’s hard to explain but it has an instant effect making me feel relaxed and sleepy. A few dabs on the underside of your feet also really helps.

STEP 2: THE ULTIMATE HAND MASSAGE CREAM

I absolutely adore this Aesop Resurrection Aromatique Hand Balm. I’ve spoken about it before and it’s a product I keep re-buying time after time. It’s so unbelievably moisturising with it’s blend of vitamin E – and the iconic mandarin rind and rosemary really does it for me.Β  I even use it on my feet (before socks for ultra overnight nourishment) and the scent is like signal for sleep. It’s perfect for travelling – it’ll calm down a weary mind, (and scaly paws) immediately.

STEP 3: THE SURPRISE HIT PILLOW SPRAY

I kid you not, when I first spritzed my pillow with this REN & Now to Sleep Pillow Spray I didn’t budge until the next morning. It sent me into such a lovely slumber – and I’ve used it again and again with the same result. It doesn’t have that usual lavender scent top note you’d expect – instead it’s a blend of hops and frankincense that has an earthy, woodiness that’s sublime. Also, because it’s REN, it’s all natural. Our pillows are well sprayed these days.

Do you have any nighttime tricks to help you sleep better?
